Our Zanker PTA is holding a Golfland Fundraiser and Fun Night event on April 17th! Bring the whole family...and extended family...and friends...and neighbors to a day or night of golfing and fun!

At the April 10th Milpitas Board of Education Meeting, the Board approved Superintendent Cheryl Jordan's recommendation for Shangrila Mia-Ramzan, currently Assistant Principal of Pomeroy Elementary School, as the new principal of Pearl Zanker Elementary School, effective July 1, 2018. She will be taking over the leadership at Pearl Zanker as Mrs. Trisha Lee leaves after serving for five years as principal and after 18 years as a classroom teacher and administrator, serving the Milpitas community. She leaves us to become principal of Santa Cruz Garden School in the Soquel Elementary Union School District in Santa Cruz County.

Help bring virtual reality learning to our school!

Zanker Fit, our jog-a-thon and fitness fair is on Saturday, April 28.

At Zanker, student learning thrives and children feel good about the place they call their school. We believe that this is because of the incredible students that attend our school, the awesome staff who believe that relationships with students are key to optimal learning and more importantly the incredible support of our families. We could not engage in the wonderful learning opportunities and the fun things we do here without your monetary support. Please know that no amount is too small. Your donation is tax-deductible and your ongoing backing and support are both truly appreciated.

Your donations will help pay for:

  • Virtual Reality Classroom Pack
  • PTA-sponsored School programs

Please donate and support our students through our dedicated 99 Pledges Zanker site.

The Milpitas Unified School District is partnering with the Silicon Valley Math Institute to offer math support and enrichment for students. The goal of the project is to reduce the number of students who are at risk of dropping out of school by providing a viable intervention math program designed to boost self esteem and make the transition from elementary to middle, and middle to high school math easier.

SVMI may offer classes for current 4th thru 8th grade students depending on participation. Flyers and applications are available in the front office.

Dear Milpitas Families,

Welcome to the new student SCCLD library account!

Milpitas Unified School District is excited to partner with the Santa Clara County Library District in providing new library cards to all students.

This new resource will open up a whole new world of print and online resources including books, articles, music, and more. Library databases are easy to use electronic resources that contain a wealth of information that you and your students may use to research and learn from anywhere, 24/7. Databases are current, fast, and full of very good information including peer-reviewed articles. MUSD and SCCLD hope you enjoy this wonderful new resource.

Students can access their on-line account by following the steps outlined on the "Get a Library Card!" page of the MUSD website.

Students can also access SCCLD digital resources at www.sccl.org/student.

The California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) is on the horizon. Parents of 3rd through 6th graders, please be sure to read the communication from our Assistant Superintendent of Learning and Development, Norma Rodriguez provided on the right.
