REMINDERS:

Before completing the online enrollment, please:

• Make sure that you have as many of the required documents ready to upload to your enrollment application.

• Please DO NOT type any portion of the application in ALL CAPS.

• Make sure that you are selecting the CORRECT school year of attendance.

• We enroll by birthdate.

TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN (TK) is the first year of a 2-year program that uses a curriculum that is age and developmentally appropriate. Students who turn 4 years old between September 2, 2024 and September 1, 2025 are eligible for TK for the 2025-2026 school year. 

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION:  Students who turn 5 years of age on or before September 2, 2025 are eligible to enroll in kindergarten for the 2025-2026 school year. 

OPEN ENROLLMENT is a request to transfer from your assigned resident school to another school within Milpitas Unified School District. To qualify, your child must be living within the Milpitas Unified School District and enrolled at the resident school during the lottery process. Request forms and additional information will be available at your resident school and the district office beginning March 1, 2025.  

INTER-DISTRICT TRANSFERS approved for the 2025-2026 school year will expire in May 2026. An approved inter-district transfer request must be on file for non-residents to continue attending school in the Milpitas Unified School District for the 2025-2026 school year. Please contact your District of Residence to begin the process.  

Registration for NEW students for the 2025-2026 school year began January 23rd.

You must register your child at your resident school based on your Milpitas resident address. If you do not know your resident school, please use the District's School Locator.

All of the required documents should be uploaded during this process. Please have your PDF files ready to upload for your submitted documents. You should make necessary dental and medical appointments. 

• Original birth certificate or passport

• Guardian's driver's license (must be in Zanker's attendance area) 

  • Addresses can be updated at CA DMV. Please take a screenshot of the change, or print it out prior to closing out the transaction.

• PG&E bill (dated within the last 3 months)

• Mortgage Statement or Rental Agreement (dated within 1 year)

• Current Immunizations

  • 4 Polio (3 doses meet requirement if one was given after 4th birthday)

  • 5 DTP (4 doses meet requirement if one was given after 4th birthday)

  • 2 MMR (on or after 1st birthday)

  • 3 Hepatitis B

  • 2 Varicella (by 5 years old)

  • TB Risk Assessment (dated AFTER August 10, 2023)

TESTING LOCATIONS: Santa Clara Valley Medical Center

• Health Examination: Required for Kindergarten and 1st Grade ONLY (dated AFTER February 10, 2024)

• Dental Assessment (dated AFTER August 10th, 2023) Required for Kindergarten and 1st Grade ONLY

Registration is not complete until all required items have been submitted. 

The first day of the school year is still to be determined.  Students must be present to guarantee their seat.

We do not currently provide tours of our campus.
