Classroom Wish Lists
If you are looking for teacher gift ideas, then this is a great way to help out the classrooms. The teachers have placed classroom supplies on their paper ornaments and placed them on to their paper trees. Parents simply come in and "pluck" an ornament to fulfill your teacher's wish. Thank you for your support and continued generosity during this holiday season.

Jack Emery Food Drive
Who was Jack, you may wonder? Well...Jack Emery was born and raised in Nebraska and came from extreme poverty. When he moved to the San Jose area, he not only made a living for himself, but lent a helping hand to those less fortunate in the community. Jack new what being less fortunate was like, so he wanted to make a difference.
Jack Emery's acts of kindness began to grow out of hand and caused him to ask the local Lion's Club for help. After he died in 1952, the Lion's Club continued Jack Emery's campaign of buying food for families at Christmas. Before long, the food drive grew too large for the Lion's Club, so local community school were asked for their help. This marked the beginning of the Jack Emery Drive. One man's act of kindness started a tradition that we carry on to this day. The Milpitas USD Jack Emery Food Drive raises 80% of the annual food and funds that goes through the Milpitas Food Pantry and given out to our immediate community.
Our school goals are 6000 cans of food and $600 of cash raised. All will be donated directly to the Milpitas Food Pantry.

All you need to do is take pictures of your grocery receipts with the Shoparoo app made for your smartphone. It doesn’t matter where you shop or what you buy - every receipt submitted results in a donation to our school!
So, what are you waiting for? Simply download the free app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store by searching ‘shoparoo’ and then select our school as your chosen cause. Since there is no limit to how much money we can raise with Shoparoo, be sure to invite your friends and neighbors to join in – every receipt counts!
