School Accountability Report Card (SARC)
In California public schools the School Site Council (SSC) is legally responsible for developing, updating, monitoring and evaluating the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA). The relationship between the two is a direct creator-and-creation dynamic: the SSC functions as the governing body, while the SPSA is the strategic blueprint that the body builds and manages.
The English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) is a school-level group required in California public schools that have 21 or more English learner students, serving to advise the principal and staff on programs and services for multilingual students.
