Dear Milpitas Unified Families,
The Milpitas Unified School District is expanding its Love 4 Literacy initiative to include a summer camp experience for incoming kindergarten students and their families.
Love 4 Literacy Goal: Is to prepare non-school aged children and their families in Milpitas for public education. The project has brought together community agencies within Milpitas to establish a network of educational resources and services for young students and families. These agencies have included, the Milpitas Public Library, YMCA, Health Trust and the Milpitas Rotary Club.
The district is looking for interested families in our school district to participate in a two-week kinder camp. The eight-day, hour and half long sessions, will expose young learners to reading resources, educational activities, and school climate.
Parents will be provided school and community resources designed to ease the transition to kindergarten. Parents will also receive additional resources and strategies designed to foster your student’s natural curiosity and excitement for reading at home. Parent participation in the two-week camp is highly encouraged. Spaces will be limited.
Please visit Love4Literacy.rocks to sign up.
Attention all 6th Grade Parents!!!
